Bookish Babble is a feature created by Bieke. In these posts we talk about bookish topics (sometimes not so bookish…) and ask for your opinion on the matter! We love hearing from you guys and we love discussion topics, so in these posts we’ll just talk about what comes to our mind and hope you’ll give your opinion. Rachel’s Redemption Readathon
Last week I let you know that because I bombed out of the ARC August readathon (hosted by Read.Sleep.Repeat.) last month, I decided to start my own “redemption” readathon this month. I need all the motivation I can get to lower my ARC pile, and this seems to be working.
What I’ve Read Already – Last Week
- Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick | 1.5 stars
- Truest by Jackie Lea Sommers | 3.5 stars
- Armada by Ernest Cline | 3.5 stars
- Has To Be Love by Jolene Perry | 2 stars
Currently Reading – Haven’t Finished:
- Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll this one wasn’t on my TBR, oops!
- Mirrored by Alex Flinn
I didn’t get to read nearly as much as I wanted to this week. *pouts* It’s just that I have one of my major assessment pieces for the year due next week and it is taking all my time up. It’s worth 30% of our grade and is externally marked so there’s a lot of pressure to get it perfect – especially because it is for a year 12 class that I am taking and I’m actually in year 11…
Hopefully I’ll at least finish Mirrored today (after this post would have been up) and Luckiest Girl Alive I’ll try to tackle next week. I am not enjoying either one of them really – Mirrored is awfully immature, and the Luckiest Girl Alive has the most unlikable protagonist… but on purpose? – so that hasn’t helped, but I’ll still power through them!
